6/19/2009 Local Lightning Fun

I was headed to the Baskin-Dunkin in Vernon Hills to meet some friends when I caught sight of a nice storm with a lot of lighting. The storm was t-storm warned as it slowly crossed into IL from WI. The storm was headed east towards the lake, but slowly sank south towards the Chicagoland area throughout the rest of the night.

The only CG I saw that night (1:32AM to be exact), in Vernon Hills, IL

6/19/2009 Towering Cumulus Out East

Although I was still sleeping when this storm hit, I managed to catch some shots of it in my hometown of Buffalo Grove, IL at around 2pm (I woke up at 1:30pm :P ).

Great 45,000ft storm as it crosses into Lake Michigan

6/6/2009 Goshen County, WY TORNADO!

I got to see my first ever tornado while storm chasing with the College Of Dupage. After a fun 8 days of chasing non-tornadic storms, this was truly a treat.
